Abstract
I worked with a local food pantry for some time and was able to put my minor in Computer Science to use when they were updating their catalog from paper to digital. Hunger is not only a serious issue in undeveloped nations, it impacts every country on the planet. By helping out locally I feel like I can give back to my community. It is rewarding to know we are helping people. I think that working at a food pantry is most important to me because of this. If everyone were to donate just a few hours of their time a month, or some food stuffs to food pantries and food distributors they could help to reduce the problem of hunger.
